Once I pretended.
I walked into Nordiska Galleriet, one on my favouriteshops here in Stockholm.
They sell furniture.
Instead of being devistated by the prices that didn´t sute my wallet at all -
I pretended I could have ANYTHING!
It felt good walking around in there with that attitude :)
Nevertheless, I just walked out with a handful of gems...
One of the things I desired was this sofa (but in other, more fun colors)
designed by Hella Jongerius for Vitra.

Today I walked by this beautiful table at Bukowskis.
If I was to pretend again, I would pick that too!

Atilla

Invited little friends over this afternoon
to sing christmas songs with us.
We sat in a ring on the carpet
below the piano -
together with
the Christmas-spirit.

When I had my old camera
I ALWAYS had to fix things
with the pictures in PhotoShop
to get them more like I wanted them.
That doesn´t often feel necesarry anymore!
(saves me lots of time too :)
The picture of the boy shows Attila,
It is without any changes made to it afterwords.
And the other one is a detail of his sister
wich I HAVE worked with afterwords.

OUT

Decided yesterday that

if the weather was nice today -

I would take a day of,

and go to town

with my boys and my camera.

We took the subway

from Tensta to Kungsträdgården.

Turned left as we came out.

Reached Strandvägen.

Followed it.
Crossed the (Djurgårds-)bridge.
Followed the water.
Feeded the birds.
Came to the ROSENDALS GARDEN.
Had lunch.

Rosendal is a garden of 7000 square meters in Stockholm
with trees, flowers, a café, a bakery, a shop... and with different events at different times.
Lots of pictures from the Rosendal garden are here at Flickr.

DANKE

DANKE

Noak painted some in the morning at my easel.

In the afternoon he got this brush
from Uschi - his first very own brush!
And I got this lovely, lovely
little labyrinth-book
half filled with Uschis beautiful thoughts
and with plenty of empty pages
for me to add my own...

Thank you so much dear freund!

It´s NOT happened once or twice...

...but a number of times.
When I have been about to
call Hans on my cellphone
HE has called ME.
We have not called eachother
in the same second.
Not in the same half of a second.
But in the very same microsecond.
And it keeps happening!

BRITTA

It was surreall
watching the three
from above
as they slowly proceeded away
followed by 15 meters long shadows on the ground.

She in the middle,
her sister and her brother in law
on her sides
as they left her home-sweet-home
with all her flowers
for - an old-peoples-home.

My soul cried.

SORG

Sorg is Swedish for sorrow, sadness and grief.
This is not easy writing in English...
But Tore Skogman died yesterday
...or "steped out of time" wich also is a common way
to express it in Swedish that someone has died.

TORE SKOGMAN
is known by each and every Swede (in my age or older)
for his songs. He made over 1500 songs!
He had red hair that later turned white.
His skin was a little red as well.
He had a big gap between his front teeth.
(Like I used to have)
And he was "not afraid of using bright colors" he toled me.
He looked very friendly.
He WAS friendly.

I grew up un a yellow house
called Toreskog.
so when I was a little girl
I found it very amusing that he
was named almoust like our house.
TORESKOG. TORE SKOGMAN.
Also my brother had the similar
and uncommon name Ture.
TURE. TORE.

I met Tore Skogman some time before 1998
when I painted portraits of
known faces in my hometown.
(He moved to my hometown after I had moved away from it)
I spent a little time with this friendly, generous man.
He was very much present when we met.
Later he used the portrait I painted of him
at the cover of his book;
"öppna ditt hjärta" (open your heart)
I haven´t in my 42 years long life
felt sad many times when people have died.
This time I did.
May Tore be happy ever after!!!

You did not have any aunts at all?
It was only your mother or did she have just brothers? and your father´s side..

Olga: Aunts. Yes I had three on fathers side. One of them remains. I have one on my mothers side. I liked Moster Ruth (mothers sister) alot when I was a little girl!

Alix: Could we all synchronise a time to drink a cuppa tea at the same moment - in-tea-net - say tomorrow morning at 9am (GMT)? Well I'm going to brew tea and toast you ladies.

The COUSINS

It is always so good seeing my son
together with my brothers children.
They adore eachother and feels like siblings.

Today my "little brother" turned 40.
His sweet family is spending
three days away from home.
Enjoying themselves here in Stockholm.

I will now consider stop calling Erik my little brother...

This Wednesday-evening I am sitting here,
learning how to handle the new camera I got today;
Nikon D80
with a 50mm f/1.8 lens
.
Seems not too difficult.
Feels exciting!

SNAPSHOT

The display at the back of my camera
broke today -
or possibly yesterday.
I can no longer see
what the picture will turn out like
when I am taking it...

This picture I took this morning
after the discovery.
I am checking
if it still can take pictures at all.

I am pulling Noak in a carriage
to go fetch the mail for my parents
at whom we were staying last night.

So, sadly I consider
my beloved camera broken.
