Are you the listener or the talker?
What do you look for in a friend?
Are friends exchangable?
What´s being a true friend?
Who has time for you?
What is friendship?
What is a friend?

Hmm - a lot of deep questions! I think I a definitely the talker, although I do listen occasionally ;o)

I have known my friend Issy since I was 3 years old - 35 years - it's a long time, now she is married to a friend of mine from university, I like to keep it all in the family!!

Friends can be relied out to listen when you need it, invite you to tea when you need it and they are the people that even if you haven't seen them for 3 years it is just like yesterday when you meet!!

In some cases you may never even have met them, that's the joy of this new internet world!!

Hello friend!

To me, a true friend is one who cherishes your spirit and loves you for who you are - and you do the same for them.

to feel friendship is for example to come here and find you expressing nearly the same questions that I currently have on my mind. So I don't believe I've got an absolute answer, but here are som ideas:
I'm thinking about what makes ME a good friend!
I'm not such a good friend like I want me to be.
I often separate from my friends by judging them or myself...
My theory is, that if you're just there...fully present at a certain moment or situation, being able to recognize and appreciate a "united" feeling you have some great moments of friendship! Sometimes that's fleeting...a single experience with people you don't really know, sometimes this happens between long lasting friends which really have become part of your life-family...
But...that's my theory and I work and try to make it my practical experience more often.
Thanks so much, that you asked these questions my friend!!

I know you're there and that's enough and it gives me a good feeling!
That's friendship.....

Oh my gosh, such a sweet, angelic little face! Beautiful portrait you have here.

Listener or talker? I'm somewhere in between. I have a friend who is a terrific listener and that may sound odd, like who isn't?! But she's such a good listener that she stands out from everyone else I know. It's no wonder that she's also a therapist and counselor.

What do I look for in a friend? Someone who is loyal and who makes an effort to be in my life as I do in his or hers. Someone who I can laugh with and also confide in and know that what is said will stay between us. Someone who accepts me the way I am - and likewise, I will do the same.

Are friends exchangeable? Hmmm...not sure what that means. There have been a couple friendships that have sadly ended for some reason or another. Others, like childhood friendships or classmate friendships have faded away as we went on different paths. Having said that, it's exciting to make contact with those old friendships years later.

Who has time for me? Good friends and family.

What is friendship? Joy, closeness,a special place someone has in my heart.

What is a friend? Someone who I love having in my life.

And you? What are your answers?

Hello Di-friend!

Oh Uschi, I want to join your theory!

Susan, how true isn´t that? The mutual true appreciation for one another is important.

Hey Caty, come back here... I didn´t understand what you said!

Hej Anneli! Glad påsk!

Susanna! I can hear you REALLY know what you´re talking about. I loved reading all you had to say!
