Our son will finally start kindergarden.
(On March 3rd, in a nice place - different from where he was to start last september)
He longs for it. Loves to play.
Also soon I will have fixed the lighting-issue
in my studio (read kitchen)
I will decide tomorrow in a shop what armature to use.
I´ll order the full-spectra (day-light) -tubes
...and give Anders, the electrician a call.
So... SOON I will have enough time
and the right lighting-temperature for painting.
My work will be easy as a dance on roses!

I love that painting just as it is! So mysterious.
You´re right. I like it too now. Like this. But...
huhh, I know....the dance on roses, it doesn't depend on circumstances any more, it will only depend on YOU! But you will stand in true day light :))
I hope Noak enjoys kindergarten I am sure he will!
I love seeing how your work develops, a hand in the corner of a painting and the rest still able to be in our imaginations!
Uschi, it will be interresting starting painting when Noak is out and the light is good. Like a new chapter. You know, it helps me so much that I do have commissions to work on. That seems to be the best way for me to get things done!
Dear Di, we were there today to talk about his start. He absolutelly seemed to like it there and so did we.
It has been a fun start for the painting. Usually I end with the background (and the background takes loooong time for me to do). This time I started doing that.
Wow - such beauty is emerging! You are so talented!
Noak is so adorable!

THANK-YOU, Susan :)
is this painting alreadx finished in your head, or may it be, you will have to work on the background after again after the portrait is finished??
Yes, I believe the backgroud will be like this when finished. Hope so (cause I like it), but I never now...
I always start with a photo-session before I start the actual painting. So yes, I do have an idea what the painting will look like in the end :)
Vilken spännande målning! Du skulle inte behöva ta ett enda penseldrag till! Handen säjer så mycket och ändå inget! Jag tro bestämt att jag måste börja spara till ett porträtt....
Trevlig helg vännen!
This looks so interesting Olga, it is such a good idea to paint a little and take a photo. I have seen Selema's daughter do that on flickr and for those of us who do not paint it is a wonderful way to learn.
Noak's hand on yours looks really sweet :)
Dear Bettina... I wished I could continue showing the progress, but since it´s a commission it´s not smart showing it publically until it is delivered. A friend came over the other day to my kitchen to wach it. She had seen it on the blog. She was so SSURPRISED when I showed her the picture of the woman I am painting. She had expected her to look totally different.
Yes, the hands are cute. My man and my son :)
I love your photographs...they are very soulful. And I am specially glad I am not the only one who has a problem with people in the house wanting to eat/cook in mY studio!
Lovely Blog.
Hi Michelle!
So you´re also a kitchen-painter? Thanks for your kind word!
hi Olga, keep meaning to tell how much i love this painting the way it is here. is it on flickr? did not see it there. i want to favorite it a thousand times. has it changed much since? the arm, those fingers are incredibly done. love love the rich calmness in the orange field and how it contrasts with (and bring out) the rest of the painting.
and happy happy first day of kindergarten to Noak! must be an exciting day today for both of you! :).
