Hi Olga,
I have listened to each side of the stock photog debate and understand both. But in reality, the stock imagery sites are not going away, so, why not make money selling your images if you can. Just my thought.

It is a good idea Olga. Editors also buy photos for book covers or so. You could also create a Flirck account to have your photos available and make some pubicity.
You could also edit a book with your photos on blurb (http://www.blurb.com/) (there are others as well) and have it as a photo book to show.
