In the eighties I made black and white pictures.
I also had a periode there of slides
and of making slideshows...

I have had not so fun periodes in the nineties
taking "color snapshots".

For the passed two and a half years
it´s been digital.
Color.

Today when I was out walking
I all of a sudden
saw the world through my old
"black and white eyes".
it was a pleasant experience.
You look at everything very differently
when you think black and white.

this happens to me, a lot, too. i was out last night in the mist, the shadows on the wet wet world glistening up--it was perfect weather and condition for increadible black and white. I did't have time to take advantage of it.

Hello Mansuetude,
I can see it! It has a charm not to capture all those moments with the camera - just to keep them inside!!!

Yes, often I find black and white images have another qulaity to them when the colour is taken away. There's often a timelessness about them.

"I shoot film!" Hi Olga, I just came over your blog, live in Sweden, too, but down south. Last winter I decided to fetch the old dark room equipment from the cellar and start making b/w-pictures again. It's a very different quality of seeing, when one shoots b/w-film.
